License
This page explains the licensing terms that apply to Audosm samples, loops, and software.
Please read the applicable section carefully before using an Audosm product.
The rules in short
Royalty-free
Legitimately licensed samples carry no royalty obligation based on the success of your finished work.
Valid purchase required
Royalty-free does not mean free to obtain. The license only exists once the product has been legitimately purchased.
Purchase before use
The purchase must exist before the release that uses the sample. A later purchase cannot license an earlier unauthorized use.
No sample redistribution
You may use the samples in your work. You may not resell, share or repackage the original sample files.
Three systems maximum
An Audosm software license may be active on up to three computers at the same time.
Keys are not shareable
Your serial key belongs to your license. It cannot be shared, sold, published or transferred.
SECTION 01Samples license
Audosm samples and loops are created for use in music production and creative audio work.
The samples are created by Audosm's producers, engineers, and creators and are provided to customers under a royalty-free license when legitimately obtained from Audosm.
Royalty-free does not mean free to obtain, redistribute, or resell.
A valid purchase is required to receive the license to use the applicable samples.
SECTION 02Royalty-free use
Once you have legitimately purchased the applicable Audosm samples and received a valid license, you may use the samples in your own music and audio productions without owing Audosm a royalty based solely on the success, streams, views, downloads, or revenue generated by your finished work.
For example, if you legitimately purchased the applicable samples before releasing your music, you may use those samples in your production even if your finished song later receives:
- 1 million views
- 2 million views
- 10 million views
- Or substantially more
The success of your finished work does not, by itself, create a royalty obligation to Audosm when the samples were legitimately licensed.
Congratulations on your success — create, release, and enjoy your music.
SECTION 03Valid purchase requirement
The royalty-free license applies only when the samples were legitimately obtained and licensed.
You must have a valid purchase for the applicable Audosm product containing the sample you used.
A sample obtained from an unauthorized source, unauthorized file sharing, another person, or elsewhere on the internet does not create a valid Audosm license.
The fact that a sample file can technically be obtained does not mean that the person obtaining it has permission to use it.
SECTION 04License verification
Audosm may need to verify whether a sample used in a published work was legitimately licensed.
If Audosm identifies an Audosm sample in a published work and reasonably requests proof of licensing, you may be asked to provide information such as:
- The name or email address associated with the purchase
- The applicable product or samples
- Order information
- Purchase date
- Invoice or purchase confirmation
Audosm may use the information provided to verify the purchase against its order records.
You should keep your purchase confirmation or invoice for your records.
SECTION 05Purchase before use
The applicable Audosm sample must have been legitimately purchased before the release of the music or other published work in which the sample was used.
For example: if you purchased the applicable Audosm samples before releasing your song, and the purchase can be verified, the use is covered by the royalty-free license.
If you obtain the samples only after your song has already been released and the samples had previously been used without a valid license, purchasing the samples later does not retroactively authorize the earlier unauthorized use.
A later purchase cannot be used to create a license for an earlier unauthorized use.
The relevant purchase date must be verifiable through Audosm's order records.
SECTION 06Unauthorized sample use
You must not use Audosm samples without a valid license.
This includes using Audosm samples obtained through unauthorized sources, unauthorized sharing, or other means where you did not legitimately obtain the applicable license.
If Audosm discovers unauthorized use of its samples, Audosm may contact the person responsible and request information necessary to verify licensing.
If a valid purchase cannot be verified, Audosm may pursue the appropriate rights or remedies available under applicable law.
SECTION 07What you may do with samples
Subject to this license, you may use legitimately purchased samples and loops as part of your own original musical or audio productions.
You may:
- Use samples in songs and compositions.
- Use samples in commercial releases.
- Use samples in non-commercial releases.
- Process, edit, arrange, layer, manipulate, and transform samples.
- Combine samples with your own recordings and other sounds.
- Release finished works containing the samples.
- Monetize finished works containing legitimately licensed samples.
The license applies to the use of the samples as part of a finished creative work.
SECTION 08What you may not do with samples
You may not:
- Resell the original samples.
- Redistribute the original sample files.
- Share the original sample files as a standalone collection.
- Upload the original samples to another sample library.
- Give the original samples to another person for their own sample collection.
- Package the original samples into another downloadable sound library.
- Claim ownership of the original sample recordings themselves.
- Sell the original sample files as standalone sounds.
- Make the original sample files available for download as a separate product.
The license gives you permission to use the samples in your creative work. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying sample recordings to you.
SECTION 09Finished music
You retain ownership of your original musical work, subject to the rights of any other contributors, third-party materials, and applicable law.
Using a legitimately licensed Audosm sample in your finished production does not require you to credit Audosm unless a specific product or agreement states otherwise.
You may distribute and monetize your finished production through platforms and services of your choice, subject to their own rules and any other rights that may apply.
SECTION 10Sample license transfer
The Audosm sample license is granted to the original purchaser.
You must not transfer, sell, sublicense, or distribute your sample license to another person.
If another person wants to use the Audosm samples independently, they must obtain their own valid license where required.
SECTION 11Software license
Audosm software is licensed, not sold.
Your purchase gives you a personal license to use the applicable Audosm software according to these terms and any applicable product-specific terms.
The software itself and its underlying intellectual property remain owned by Audosm or its applicable licensors.
SECTION 12Software serial / license key
A software purchase includes the required serial key or license key.
The key is intended for use by the purchaser and must be kept secure.
You must not:
- Share your serial key with friends.
- Give your serial key to another person.
- Sell your serial key.
- Publish your serial key.
- Distribute your serial key.
- Allow another person to use your license as their own.
Your license key is connected to your software license and is not a transferable product.
SECTION 13Three-system activation limit
An Audosm software license may be activated on a maximum of 3 systems simultaneously.
This means you may use your license across up to three computers/systems at the same time.
If you move to a new computer, you must deactivate the license from the previous computer when necessary so that the new computer can be activated within the three-system limit.
System 1 active, System 2 active, System 3 active. If you replace System 2 with a new computer: deactivate System 2, then activate the new computer.
The three-system simultaneous activation limit remains applicable.
SECTION 14Unauthorized multiple activation
Audosm may monitor license activation information for the purpose of protecting its software licenses and preventing unauthorized use.
If the same license appears to be activated on more than three systems simultaneously, Audosm may temporarily disable or suspend the affected license while the situation is investigated.
The customer may be asked to explain the activation activity or provide information needed to verify legitimate use.
If the activation is determined to be legitimate, Audosm may restore access where appropriate.
If the license is being shared, redistributed, abused, or used in violation of these terms, Audosm may take further action, including disabling the license.
SECTION 15Moving software to a new computer
You are allowed to move your licensed software to a new computer.
Before activating the new computer, deactivate the software from an older computer when necessary to remain within the three-system simultaneous activation limit.
The purpose of the limit is to allow legitimate use across the customer's systems while preventing license sharing and unauthorized distribution.
SECTION 16Software restrictions
You must not:
- Share your license key.
- Redistribute the software.
- Sell unauthorized copies.
- Upload the software for public download.
- Circumvent or disable licensing systems.
- Attempt to bypass activation restrictions.
- Modify the software for unauthorized redistribution.
- Use one license as a shared license for multiple unrelated users.
Nothing in this section restricts rights that cannot legally be restricted under applicable law.
SECTION 17License enforcement
Audosm takes the protection of its creators, producers, engineers, software developers, and digital products seriously.
Where Audosm identifies potential unauthorized sample use or software license abuse, Audosm may request reasonable information to verify the applicable license.
For samples, this may include purchase information or invoice details. For software, this may include license activation information or other information necessary to verify legitimate use.
Audosm reserves the right to take appropriate action where unauthorized use is verified, subject to applicable law.
